Calvin Gong is a TPI-certified chiropractor who has been in practice since 1992.
In addition to his chiropractic practice, he is a TPI professional for Green Hills GC Academy, the medical/wellness director for The First Tee of San Francisco at Harding Park, and has previously worked as the chiropractor for the sports medicine department at Saint Ignatius College Preparatory in San Francisco. He remains a source for the Saint Ignatius College Preparatory varsity girls’ and boys’ golf teams. He works with many junior players in the JTNC, JGANC, HJGT, and AGJA circuits, local D1 collegiate players, as well as members from several Bay Area courses – Presidio, Lake Merced, Olympic, San Francisco, Cal, Peninsula, and Green Hills golf clubs, to name a few. He has experience working with Symmetra tour and LPGA Q-school qualifying players.
As a TPI-certified chiropractor, Calvin has first-hand knowledge of spinal and extremities biomechanics and how they relate to the Big 12 Swing Characteristics. His main goal for each golfer is to help golfers avoid injury while improving their swing. Prior to each session, he will request a few swing videos, consult with the golfer about their health and injury history, and what their overall goal is from this screening. Each individual golfer is then given a customized screen and prescribed a TPI-specific medical/fitness protocol.
